Political communication and organisational influence

In a nutshell:

In this episode of Bosses for Breakfast, host Jessie Frahm talks politics with lobbyist Iain Anderson

With a daily morning diet of local news stories and from across the globe (and a few tabloids), Iain Anderson loves to start his day with as much information as he can possibly have. It’s easy to see his passion for journalism and politics. He studied journalism and history at university, and his career has been a journey in journalism through politics and in his own words, he ‘dreams news’. And he’s known it was his passion since his youth.

There is a disintegrating relationship between businesses and politicians.
— Iain Anderson

In 1997, Anderson moved away from journalism and began his career in communications as a lobbyist. Soon after working at an American communications agency, he would launch his own project, The Cicero Group, which has grown to serve clients across the European Union.

Reflections on brexit

With all this talent under his belt, Anderson decided to write a book, a reflection on Brexit politics called F**K Business: The Business of Brexit, which described the disintegrating relationship between businesses and politicians. He’s seen a lot of change with regard to decision making in government circles and how the government relates to business and had some good wisdom to offer, as well as some key insights and anecdotes from his personal experience advising candidates on policy.
